The Hawaiian Islands

This past November I got to be part of a campaign working with Go Hawaii (Hawaii tourism) to capture locals and their stories throughout the islands. This project means the world to me, and I’ve never put so much love and heart into these photos. There were moments during filming and planning that I could just feel the love everyone on the team had for this campaign. It feels important and necessary to share this part of Hawaii with the world.

So many people think of Hawaii as just a vacation spot. But there is so much more than beautiful waterfalls and luau dinners. There is life. There is spirit. There are stories.

We wanted to share some of those stories, which is how this campaign was born. I’ve included some of my favorite photos but most importantly, you can watch the videos and hear each individual tell their story themselves. I didn’t make these videos, but I was there, and listening to these stories makes my heart beat hard all over again.
